Plants in Hawai’i - January 2025
I really enjoy taking pictures of plants.
I don’t know what it is, I just think they’re pretty, and I like seeing them up close. Here’s a little gallery of the pictures I took of plants specifically while I was home.

Saw this flower at Aulani. No idea what it is other than pretty
This is a Lauhala Tree
There's a story that these two people were in love, but they were separated so one was at the shore and one was in the mountains. If you brought the two halves of the flowers from these plants (one from the mountains and one from the shore (I tried two from the same plant as a child, and it didn't work)) together, the lovers would be reunited. I suppose I could look the story up again.
I never saw these flowers in pink growing up, so I was a bit surprised to see this
